Future Forward 2022 recap
2022 is coming to an end, and before we start celebrating New Year’s Eve, we would like to do a quick recap and walk you through this past year. We will be open and honest about the problems we encountered and the lessons we learned along the way, recount the opportunities we took, and most importantly, share our exciting new plans for 2023.
Lessons learned
This year taught us that the devil is in the details. We returned our attention to the beginning of Future Forward: custom software. It’s better to focus on fewer products that are strong than to focus on too many things at once and lose attention to detail. You can’t have everything at once. Thereby, we started improving our products, extending our software, and reinforcing the product websites. Our mindset switched from trying to be everywhere all the time to being a custom software development company again.
As a SaaS company and custom software company, we've returned to doing what we do best: developing custom software solutions, SaaS software, web and mobile applications, touchscreen solutions and kiosk software, and free digital signage. Our desire is to be able to create software that is completely tailored to the needs and desires of a company and seamlessly integrates into the organization. We love encountering the most diverse situations and improving certain processes with software.
Opportunities we took
As previously stated, we learned our lessons and began focusing more on reinforcing our main products. We created specialized teams that operate as "think tanks" and constantly try to develop new product features and brainstorm about making our products even more user-friendly and accessible. We also turned things around on a marketing level, trying out new approaches and strategies in that field as well.
Therefore, we extended and improved CastIt, our free digital signage software, making it even more user-friendly and useful for even more companies. It is now even stronger digital signage software with which you can broadcast all kinds of items to your screens and provide your visitors with relevant information at any time. We are proud to say we have thousands of satisfied users.
In addition, we began developing a free version of our Digital Reception software. It’s better to have insights into your visitors' and company’s needs before purchasing custom visitor management software. Our free digital reception software allows you to use it free first, find out what you need, and customize it later on.
We partnered up with new companies and started new exciting projects this year, but we also built further on existing relationships. Both new and long term relationships are of great value to our company. By partnering with new companies, we also started covering markets in new areas, such as Switzerland, Germany, and the USA. Making our products available in new areas and new languages is definitely something we will be working on in 2023 as well.

Teambuilding
As a company that looks after its employees, we never lose sight of the importance of team bonding as well as business and personal development. We went on great adventures with our team and grew closer together. We took on a challenge and went on a rafting trip. This was an active get-away, but we also had a sit-down dinner to celebrate our 11th birthday in Nis last month, and a pre-Christmas company party last week.
Last but not least, we had a Secret Santa party, where we exchanged gifts, had some laughs, and spend quality time with our dear colleagues. A perfect mix of hard work, active adventures, good food, and parties.
In addition to building within our team, we expanded our team with more experienced employees who are a true asset to our company and bring new perspectives every day.
2023’s focus for Future Forward
You might be wondering if we have any New Year's resolutions. Of course, we do, but they are mostly based on decisions made this year.
Here are some concrete plans:
- We now have a new tagline as well as a company motto: Together, We Make IT Easier;
- Rework CastIt as a very simple and FREE multi platform signage player that can be installed anywhere and by anyone.;
- Creating a free version of our visitor management software available so that people can explore their opportunities before purchasing a custom digital reception - you never know what you need until you try it;
- Improving our professional help - and support desk and extending the channels through which we can assist clients; making ourselves more visible and reachable.
In general, we will continue to work on improving our online presence, strengthening our organization, investing time and resources in marketing, and keeping up with product innovations. We want to be able to offer you the best and most innovative features in our software, and we always keep an eye out for ways to do so.
