Can we switch to hybrid working with analogue signs?

Hybrid working is completely ít. Since the coronavirus broke out, people have started working from home on a regular basis. The prediction is that this will, at least partly, continue in the future. Desks are no longer used five days a week, which is quite a shame. If desks, offices and meeting rooms are left unused some days of the week, why not fill them? Dynamic working places and offices can be a great solution. But how do we put this into practice?

Wayfinding is an important part of orientation in a building. Directional signage and nameboards help find companies and their employees. This used to be quite simple. Every company had its own permanent location and every employee his or her own permanent desk. Name changes appeared sporadically, because employees and companies generally stayed in place for quite a while. In this hybrid era, however, this can vary day to day. How do you make sure companies and their employees can still be easily found, even though they change places every day?

Digital

The answer is simple: digitize your wayfinding. Printed signs make it hard to realize a dynamic office building. It takes a long time and it is complex to replace them, and it is definitely not free. When you switch to digital wayfinding, however, a name change can be made in just a few seconds. If Peter works on Monday, and Mary on Friday, that’s no problem. You simply enter it into the system, and the nameboards change accordingly. Is the meeting room used by company A on Monday afternoon, and by company B on Wednesday morning? That’s what the digital nameboards are showing. This does not only apply to the digital nameboards next to meeting rooms, desks or other spaces, but even to the directional signage in the hallway, entrance hall, elevators, etc. Every sign can be changed at every moment and is thus always up to date, consistent and complete. The visitor knows where to go, your employee can find their colleague, etc. In one central system, you have an overview of all digital wayfinding and digital nameboards in the building. Digital signage makes you 100% ready for hybrid working. You no longer have empty spaces in your office, and everyone is still able to find the right person or the right company.

By replacing analogue wayfinding by digital wayfinding, you can turn your office into a hybrid space. However, even if your office is less into hybrid working, digital wayfinding can still be really beneficial. It is efficient, fast and cost-effective for every building, hybrid or not. You no longer have to spend a lot of time and money on replacing printed signs, and you avoid wasting materials on a regular basis.

As eCommerce grows, online businesses must prioritize cybersecurity measures to protect themselves and their consumers from cyber threats. Digital signage can also help to increase the ecommerce security. Visitors can benefit from digital signage since it provides tailored navigation, always-up-to-date information, and quick decision-making skills, making it a great tool for improving their experience on an eCommerce site. Furthermore, digital signage can be connected with existing software, delivering extensive information and numerous platforms to create a seamless online shopping experience.
